Baby Steps...

Deciding to open yourself up to receiving more business…
… is essential to working through the changes in mindset we’ve been talking about the last three days.

There is a concept in marketing that should help you put your next steps into perspective… “People (customers) buy finish lines, not racetracks." The client is interested in the outcome… how what you are going to do for them is going to solve their problem, change their life, makes things better.
As an entrepreneur, trades person, service provider… we spend our time developing skills. We focus on efficiency, quality… the cutting edge that provides quality results. It’s only natural to be obsessed with the HOW of what we do.
Most of us miss the point… that our customer is motivated by the WHAT and WHY.
“I need this leak fixed because it is driving my family crazy with the constant tapping in the sink”
“I need to stop worrying if my car is going to be worry free on my road trip so my family can relax and enjoy the drive.”
“I want to find a new home without worrying about all the pitfalls that can ruin the thrill of moving up.”
Can you start to see this is about the experience you can deliver… the feeling the customer will have when you remove the anxiety or discomfort they are currently going through?
So now… is your current business marketing addressing the WHAT and WHY… or are you, like most businesses, still trying to impress the public with HOW you do things? And are you aware that last part was about YOU, and not the customer.
Today’s newsie will be short… because I want to encourage you to begin thinking about this simple change in approach to your marketing. It’s a simple about face that can deliver loads of new business and increased customer satisfaction.
I could start to talk about HOW I am going to help you with this transformation… but I’d rather encourage you to consider WHAT the changes a 2X, 3X, 5X increase in business and customer satisfaction can mean to your lifestyle, your family and your peace of mind.
In my next newsie, I’m going to start asking you for some feedback… some help… so that I can more personally address the direction we’ll take in getting some of these changes underway. I hope you’ll afford me just a few moments here and there to keep things focussed and time efficient.
