Who the heck is DKIM?

Moving forward, with our spring cleaning and your email DNS records… and the move to sPanel…

The DKIM mail record will not be changed during the cPanel to sPanel move, however it is important that it be addressed and correct.

The DKIM record is supplied by your actual mail server. So… if you are taking advantage of COOLCOM’s email… this records is put in place FOR you. Nothing to do…

If you are using an outside email provider rather than COOLCOM, then it becomes essential to obtain that record from your email provider and get it entered into your DNS. We are happy to do that for you.

Obtain the record and send it to us in the Support Desk. Yes, it’s a little long and unwieldy (it’s like a 250 plus character password)… but we can handle it.

So... to review…

1) Determine if you use COOLCOM’s DNS (ns7.coolcom.com name servers)

2) If you do, determine if you use OUR email services

3) If you DO NOT, obtain your DKIM record from your mail provider and send it to us in the support desk OR enter it into your DNS (it’s a little tricky… we are happy to do it for you)
