As I said at the end of yesterday’s newsie…

… if everything is simply awesome in your current business, I don’t want to waste your time. I’d sure like to learn from you, and maybe sometime, you can share your story with me.

For the rest of us, it’s quite likely “shake ‘em up” time. As one of my mentors, Ryan Levesque has been preaching, if we look to nature and the seasons as a guide, business, like all things in nature, goes through cycles of Death and Rebirth. We can fear it, or embrace it with hope and a fresh approach.

Seasons are natural… cycles are natural. There is nothing to be afraid of.

Marketing of our business is now in the middle of one of the greatest shifts in commerce in the last 15 years. To continue to embrace old methods is to embrace eternal winter… and to shun new opportunity to emerge with the vigor and excitement spring brings.

It’s natural to think tactics… leads, conversions, SEO, subscribers…. and how we can do more of the same.

However, to know where to go, you must first understand and accept where you are. What season is your business and life is in.

Expansion… discovery… transition?

Step back…

As the creator of your enterprise… what do you have to share? Consider your expertise, the value you bring to customers, the difference you can make in their lives. What pain can you reduce or remove for them? What relief… what happiness or convenience can you introduce?

If you had severe back pain, would you have to be sold on eliminating that pain… or would you openly welcome an offer of its removal?

Have we been indoctrinated all these years to preach to the choir?

Tomorrow, we begin to look from a new perspective… that may just change our lives and businesses forever.

Tomorrow… we open our arms to the universe!
